The work at the Uffizi Gallery has a sibling at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore who portrays two female subjects, the daughter and wife of Iseppo. The richly detailed clothing suggests the social status of the figures protruding from a dark niche. The dynamism of the work actually depends on the link it has with the other: the count looks at the viewer, while the son leans out and looks to his right where the other painting, and therefore the little sister, should be; in the other painting the dynamic is reversed.
